But i wouldn't use the dual core just because if it doesn't unlock, you'll be stuck with it for a while. Why not use the links that i provided? They are somewhat cheaper, unless you plan on buying in the US.
Thanks for the links, I'll definitely use those ones.

Do you think an athlon II x4 will beat the phenom II x2 ??

Depends what you do. If you are gaming multi-threaded games like idk.. BFBC2, you should notice some improvements. The most improvements should come from rendering programs. Plus, you can always OC the Athlon X4 to 3.6+ GHz.

the cache on the phenom will make a difference where ,as said, its two cores are not filled up. after that, even with low(2mb) cache more cores will be the winner

It depends on what you are doing. It depends on the applications you use, if they can use 4 cores at the same time. Usually, most Phenom II X2 555 will unlock, but you never now for sure. At least with the Athlon II X4 620 you know that you get 4 physical cores, while the overclocking potential is pretty good.

I'll be purely gaming on it, with some folding on the side

I picked it purely outta the thumbnail looks so I'm very open to a different case. The cooler master elite cases are real cheap (~$40) and as long as they fit a 5850, would seem like a good buy.

There is a new CM Elite 430 coming. I know the US has it already, but NCIX doesn't have it. I personally like the Antec 300, but it is rather old now...

I know it's ugly but Canada Computers have the NZXT Gamma on for 24.99, that's $44.99-$5 instant and 15 mail in rebate.
