My System Specs

Default

Alright folks i've been doing some secret chats with fellow mods and reviewers and potentially came up with an alternative solution. The atom systems do not have enough sata ports for what i want (in the new generation yet) with HDMI out. This had lead me to go to a mATX board instead.

Processor: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...anufacture=AMD (going to see whats on sale for canada day)
Motherboard: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...S&promoid=1019 (going to see whats on sale for canada day)
PSU: 400W Corsair or Seasonic PSU (going to see whats on sale for canada day)
Case: NCIX.com - Buy Silverstone Grandia GD05B Black HTPC mATX Desktop Case 1X5.25 2X3.5INT 1X2.5INT 3X120MM Fan No PS - GD05B In Canada. or NCIX.com - Buy Nmedia HTPC-2000B Desktop Media Centre Case ATX Black 1X5.25 1X3.5 5X3.5INT Card Reader No PS - HTPC-2000B In Canada. I am leaning more towards the nmedia one as it hides everything with flip panels

I definitely approve your new choice of case. I know you changed from nMedia to Silverstone because of the new form factor... but truth be told nMedia cases are inexpensive because of their crappy quality.

I just threw out my nMedia 6000B and replaced it with a Silverstone LC13-B - BIG improvement!

By the way, are there any 45w tri-core CPUs out there? Since you'll be leaving your rig on 24/7, maybe you could cut down on the energy usage?

I actually have 2 cases i'm between. One is the SS, the other is the nmedia one.

For the price range and the fact this tri-core is suppose to be energy efficient i'm hoping the one i have selected should still mirror the usage of a standard 45W.

Choose wisely...

Sometimes it's better to bite the bullet and spend a little more up front, and not have to replace later on!

Edit: the SS Grandia has limited HSF compatibility though...

Well the SS Grandia should still at least support stock AMD heatsink should it not?
