Default Choice of cases!

Hey, thinking of doing a new build.
I think I have it narrowed down to two cases.
The ATCS 840 case ATCS 840 - Cooler Master

Or the HAF X HAF X - Cooler Master

Anybody have any thoughts on these two? Suggestions? Other cases you like?
I know Lian-Li makes some good cases as well as Silverstone, but I am not too familiar with their line ups.

I'd take the haf x. It's newer, it's interior black, it has gromets, it has more modern cable management features, it support usb3.0, and also comes with fan filters now. The atsc has a removable mobo tray and a handle which the haf doesn't have, but I don't think they're a big deal...

I like the new HAF X. I like the look better and the fact that it has the usb 3, just like the previous member. The choice of case is really up to your personal tastes. That said, you can't go wrong with CM. The biggest thing to ask yourself is whether or not you'll need great airflow for higher end graphics which run that much warmer.
Good luck and enjoy!

I don't want to push you towards the HAF X too much... one big advantage of the 800d is that it has a very clean look to it, square simple and sleek. It's also big enough for huge watercooling loops. If you aren't watercooling and want a slick clean case, consider a fractal for $100

The ATCS 840 is hands down the better quality case. I went that route and I couldn't be happier. The HAF has a bit of an edge when it comes to cooling, but the ATCS is easier to work in, built better, and in my opinion looks much better as well.

Haf X for air cooing for sure. Black inside, filters, cable management, wheels! Make sure you get a good brush for dusting between all those ridges though. lol
8/700d or ATCS for liquid cooling though I would say.

Tough choice, I'd tend to agree with dustin1706, HAF-X for air, ATCS for liquid

The reason why ATCS is still in the best case after a long time on the market it's becuase it's one of the best case out here. With this one coolermaster compete with other big name like silverstone and Lian-li. Look is good, capabilities are great, build quality is perfect, and space in is awesome. The Haf X is for sure a good case but IMO the look is the most important thing in a case after material and quality and the haf-x is...well...looking like a melted twelve undred ( which is already in my top 10 worst case ever )

Im going with the ATCS. It's personally more of my style. Minimalistic with good features. I would powdercoat it if I got one, and the extra for powedercoating would not bother me. The quality of the ATCS is, imo, much greater then the HAF X.
