make sure you check with memory express you can save alot on taxes (10%) and shipping (free) and they price match aswell.

componets look alright. 800d isnt the best for air cooling but its nice (i own 1) just make sure you add all available fans to it. 4x120 and 3x140 get good 1's.

5970 - great card and it would take 2x480 to compete at a higher price. But the you can cook your breafast on them.
Asus P6X58D Premium - has usb 3.0 and sata 6.0. So it's ready for the next few years
Logitech G19 keyboard - Ijust love it.
Corsair HX1000W another very good choice.
All of the above are on my latest build that is all most done.

Dell 30" monitor Absolutly a great choice. That will be my next purchase. So your one up on me.

The rest of your choices are going to make a great computer.

The biggest thing I would change is the case. The 800D is a really good piece of hardware but NOT FOR AIR COOLING!!! it's a water cooling case only ( lack of intake ) If you want a clean look and good air cooling capabilitie concider the ATCS 840 or silverstone Temjin series.

I like the idea of a 120GB SSD, but it would fill up so fast, why not spend an extra buck and a quarter and pick up a 2TB drive for your multimedia files. I think Direct Canada and Best Canada have a 2TB Seagate on for $109.00 Cdn.

Good call...Or drop to a single 5870 ( which you wont see any difference with a 5970, when game don't lag they don't lag do you need more? ) and use he difference to get you 2X 1tb caviar blue at like 60$. I personally prefer to have more hd with smaller size so if one die I don't lose everything.

I would swap out the Agility 2 for the G.Skill Phoenix. Its about the same price...but it is just as fast as the Vertex 2 and better then the Agility 2. ;)
Of course, its "only" 100GB...but to get the extra 20GB of space in the extended they had to take away from the over provisioning. Have to wonder if one of the things that they dropped was the MTBF to get the extra room. That or go for the Vertex 2 120GB. Either drives really are better then the Agility 2.

and yeah drop a 2tb green or black from WD in there for data only. GREAT combo is SSD for the OS and apps and HDD for data.
