Default Real Budget Build?!?

Okay, this is going to sound cheap but really, I'm looking at building a much better system than the current one is. This isn't mine but I'm investing in it. I loaned my current computer while I fix a Pentium 3.

Is this mobo any good?:
MSI 760GM-E51

I would need DDR3 RAM and a cpu if I got that. Or if there's better alternatives, which one?

Is there any chance for something like this:
mobo: $60 - $70
CPU: $40 - $65
RAM: $99 (DDR3)

I already have:
case, PSU (500w Coolermaster), HDD (500GB), fans, DVD burner

The mobo in it before was an Asus Socket 939 which died.

I could go for a DDR2 build and save a bit more but it probably wouldn't be much... I DO have a Sempron cpu LE-1250 to use it with. But, those processors seem to be about $30 to $40. So, maybe I save about $60 total over a DDR3 build?

I also have a DDR2 Quad Core Q6600 computer (mine) but it's overkill and I guess I want it back now. :)

I guess this build is about $200-ish... so I'm not sure whether I could save much (more) used but if you think so... maybe advise me what to do? I have only bought some components used. I don't like bidding or haggling.

Any recommendations? I have been looking on the FS posts but nothing really cheap to speak of. Any advice?? :)

My System Specs

Default

NCIX.com - Buy ASUS M4A785TD-M Evo mATX 785G Socket AM3 DDR3 1PCI-E16 1PCI-E1 2PCI Video Sound GBLAN Motherboard - M4A785TD-M EVO In Canada.

NCIX.com - Buy AMD Athlon II X2 245 Dual Core Processor Socket AM3 2.9GHZ 2MB Cache 65W Retail Box - ADX245OCGQBOX In Canada.

NCIX.com - Buy Patriot Signature 2GB 1X2GB DDR3-1333 CL9 Memory Module - PSD32G13332 In Canada.

A little over budget by about 15-20 bucks but thats about as low as you can really go new.

For me at least anyways.

Good luck mate!

Thanks. The site reviewed the ASUS M4A785TD-V Evo also. I read a quick line in the review and it's the full-size version.

Is that one worth $10 more (I can get it locally). I don't know if I want to pay $100 for a motherboard when it's a budget build but I'll take a serious look.

Thanks.

The cheap budget RAM might be a good idea if the HDD is going to have XP installed still. Interesting angle...thanks. :)

If you can get the full Size EVO for 10 more go for it for sure. I have two of those boards operational, and I've used the mATX one as well. No complaints in regards to either board. They have been very solid for me since the day I owned them.

Yeah, I was thinking something like that... I was wondering if something like this was even being sold on the board but many threads are finished and the parts are already sold! :)
