Default New build please recommend $2200 dollars max

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums here and have been lurking for the past couple of days. I am currently looking to build a new pc for around $2200.00 CAD. If you guys could recommend any parts that would be great. I'm going to be reusing my ocz vertex ssd, my 1tb segate drive, dvd drive, monitors, kb and mouse and possibly my P182 SE case although this could change.

As for the video cards I was thinking about getting 2 gtx 470's or 1 5970. I'm open to anything but I do want an intel CPU.

Thanks.

Smile New Builds

The 930 is a good cpu that is overclocker friendly. For a psu, look for a Corsair. With sli, you may need more than a 750, but with the 5970, the 750 is enough. For mobo, look at the ASus P6X58D-E. It has new usb 3 and sata 3. The premium has 2 rj 45 ports, but I never needed 2, and saved the 60-70 $ for something else, like beer!!! As for hsf, I've had the piezo electric for a while, so you may need someone else to help you. Keep in mind that I'm pretty new as well, but got help from these experts and did lots of research. One thing I would recommend is to keep an eye on the buy, sell, and trade section where you could get great deals on hardware and save even more.

Good luck and enjoy the build.

Great thanks for the advice!I was looking at the exact same mobo and CPU.

Anyone else have any other recommendation. I would like to get a couple of builds before I decide.

Hey guys thanks for the great advice. I decided on a pc which I have ordered from Direct Canada. This is my first time ordering from them. I'm slightly worried after reading some of the reviews about them. Do they ship fast enough and are good with customer service?
