Planning my new build

Hi guys , I am starting to plan my newest build and this is what I am thinking

Intel 980x
Mobo ?????
ram 12 GB (24GB ??)
Video 2- 5870
2- 100GB OCZ Vertex 2 (probably Raid 0)
2- WD 640 GB Blacks ( already have)
Blue Ray
Have 2- 24 inch monitors

Case -????? (already have 800D and Antec 1200)
This will be a dual loop WC system with full water blocks on video cards and full MOBO water blocks.
(Daz will probably make lots of money off me again LOL)
Can't decide on motherboard or case, ram will probably be Gskill 1600 or the likes
Will be playing a lot more with medium to heavy overclocking this time, All ideas and suggestions welcome. Its a hobby while I still game a lot not too much online because the young guys beat me up too badly. This will be my toy

Why not get the Rampage III Extreme for the mobo?

And for the case you could always go with MM :D Especially where your doin a dual loop!

980 X means Extreme Build, especially with 2 Loop WC...very nice........don't go cheap on any other parts....not with that CPU

1. Good PSU
2. God Overclocking Mobo
3. Good OC RAM

thats an expensive cpu, wouldnt put it in a 100 dollar mobo lol.

make sure to make a nice thread. your antec will be fine

Thats what I was thinking was the Rampage 3 or the classified but I haven't heard very many peeps singing the praises of either of them, MM ? Mountain Mods?
The other biggie is 2- 5870's or 2 - 5970's I don't know that I want 480's or 470's even though I have had only Nvidia for the last 10 years

I keep looking at my empty 1200 but I'm not shure I can get multiple rads in it and even my 2 GTX 275's were tight in there, Guess I'll have to look a lot closer at it

The classified boards are awesome. I've never run across anyone who owns one who was unhappy with it, including me. The RE3 is fairly new, so not a lot of people have them yet. Either would be a good fit in your build.

Yes, MM is Mountain Mods. And I wouldn't buy 470/480's unless you do Folding@Home.

+1 for the Rampage III. I didn't see a psu. I have 2 5970s with a pile of HDDs and a 980. I'm using the Corsair Hx1000. In your case, maybe the new modular psu, if it's available, might be better. If you're going to be overclocking a fair bit, shouldn't you consider 2k mhz ram or higher? If I got it right, unless you're doing some big overclocking, 1600 should be fine, but with the 980x and that board, it seems a waste not to go extreme on the mem. as well. Anyway, that is going to be an awesome new toy!!!

Awesome toy, is case visible ? If so, you need something special other wise any old case will do(size wise). Does not mean over the top but let it be you.
