Depends what 465W psu. If it is a quality unit, then no. If not, then get a new one from Seasonic, Corsair, or Sparkle. Their 400W units are very good.

Sparkle doesn't belong in that sentence. Their PSUs are mediocre at best.

probably an enermax. look up the 12v rating, it may be a quite old unit with high 5v but low 12v wattage

sparkle used to be pretty good for the money(400 watts for under 30 bucks back in the day). now at 40+ bucks? meh

Depends on which Lineup Zero. All the ones that run my BCM's and Telecom gear last forever. And are Dual/tripple redundent. :)

Anywho, being a 465W makes me think its one of those no-name brand units, so I'd suggest something along the lines of a Corsair VX450/550 or Antec.

Anything made since they were bought by FSP. They work, but they are nothing more than low-end units, and certainly not in the same class as Seasonic or Corsair PSUs.

Smile New Builds

I think that the price for a psu of that size is reasonably priced, but a sale and price matching can bring the price down. Anyway I really like Corsair, have a handful and never had any issues of any kind. If you want to ensure no issues with power, bump up to say a 550 watt. There are a number of good quality psus out there, just ask techs their preference. Bumping up allows leeway and doesn't work the unit too hard, it only draws what it needs, and a cooler running unit will consume less power. Good luck with your selection.

I'm betting it's a 465W Enermax which in it's hayday was a fine PSU.... but as has already been stated it's probably got issues WRT 5+3V/12V lines.
