It's not the dual core you recommend dan but it can be made cheaper by choosing that one.

Phenom II x4 955
Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3
4 GB G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ
500 GB Samsung F3
HD5850 ASUS DIRECTCU
Corsair TX650
HAF 922

Around 850 euro's.
That would make a pretty decent built but probably not strong as the the i5 750. I am running a similar setup and it's pretty decent for gaming and offer an upgrade path toward a six cores.

A similar i5 setup is around 50~100 euro's more expensive. Depends on the mobo.

What I have so far:

CASE: HAF 922 (80,-)
PSU: Either Seasonic X-750 (150,-) or Corsair TX-750 (115,-) or Antec TP-750 (103,-) (which fits the budget, don't think any of these is wrong).
RAM: Corsair XMS CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 (111,-)
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500 GB (45,-)
GPU: Either HD5850 DIRECTCU (300,-) or HD5870 Vapor-X (380,-) (the one which fits the budget)
MOBO+CPU: Asus M4A89GTD PRO (115,- w/o USB3 or +20,- w/ USB3) with Phenom 955 (150,-)

Kinda dropped the whole i5 idea since the mobo + chip are 60 euro's more expensive (minimum) and I think it's not 60 euro performance.

Smile New Builds

I'm not sure about the ram. Isn't that a bit pricey? With the money saved on this build you can go to the 5870 vapor x which will be a great card for some time. Whatever you do, it looks like you have a handle on your choices with the help of our experts. Good luck with the build and enjoy the new unit!
