I hate to say but you are dead WRONG here!

I am running a Phenom II X4 955 with DDR2 RAM.

It's not the CPU which limits memory, it's the chipset of the board. The 800-series only runs DDR3 RAM.

I do believe you have more reading to catch up on........

So I made another updated list.

MSI 890FXA-GD70 <--- Does not look as nice as the Crossfire IV Formula but MSI tested to work with my ram plan
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL <--- Said ram to be upgraded to one more of this kit at a later date (if I really really still want 16Gigs)
AMD - Phenom™ II X6 1090T Six-Core Black Edition <--- Cuffed for considering going with the X4 965
eVGA - GeForce GTX 480 <--- Heat? Heat! I don't care about heat. I'm getting a HAF 932!
Corsair - HX 850W Power Supply <--- Future proofing power (probably could go with the 750, but this one was only $20 more)
Intel X25-M Mainstream 80Gig <--- What's the point of having a fast computer with a slow drive. Intel also does not make a bad product, but the price is a little rough.
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus CPU Cooler <--- Like I said, who cares about heat.
Cooler Master - HAF 932 <--- I had a full size case back in the 486 days and loved it. I can't wait to see this thing in person. The reviews make it look like Mount Olympus.

All this does go a little over my $2000CND budget, but I'll make it work.

Any advice/opinions?

I'm still a little iffy about the SSD, is there anything comparable (or even better) at a lower price?

If you want to go with a 470 for your video card (better bet than the 480 IMO), NCIX now has (or did a few days ago) EVGA's new Superclocked+ 470. It runs cooler and quieter from what I've read so that helps cut down on one of the biggest complaints about fermi (power consumption is still.... eeeeeep)

Can you explain how the 470 series is better then the 480 series?
