hmm you want that side panel fan eh? rings a bell for me... this is what I was debating with my hyper 212+ purchase, the N520, which I later found out is a lot better than the hyper 212+ in terms of build quality. It's not very popular though, because most people just like 120mm fans because it's 'bigger'.

9800gt is still very good, keep it until you can afford an upgrade. It's still a very respectable card among 'regular' folks out there, it's worth about $50-70 now and it's gonna stay like that for quite some time. Incase you want to upgrade, people do still buy that card used simply because it's good for use with CUDA :) Everything else looks good so far... if we see any good psu deals tomorrow night, we'll let you know here.

edit: on second thought, I'm not entirely sure that the side fan would fit with the n520, double check...

Yeah i'll check out the n520, and the 9800 is borrowed from my friend until i can save up for a 5850, or maybe something better, if you have any other gpu in mind? But then again this is basically just the start of getting my comp to function, i'll be doing some upgrades later when i have more money. Lets just hope they have good psu deals tmr

I'll keep an eye out for you in BST section. I recently grabbed a gtx260 for $130 shipping, it was just like new, to give you an idea of a cost for a gtx260 if you're interested in that. I've seen another one (identical model) for for $120, that was at redflagdeals (as you can tell from my signature, I hate dealing with those animals). I would personally recommend a gtx470 to you whole-heartedly, unless you want to wait for the little brother (possibly gtx465 or gtx460?), which should be cheaper. Btw, the review by xbit labs for the gtx465 looks fake/biased to me, I wouldn't trust it. If you were to buy new, definitely either 5850 or gtx470... the 470 should be around 320-340 and 5850 should be 250-280 depending on brands, and those would be very good prices.

Might I also suggest the Seasonic X650. Fully modular, single rail, 80PLUS Gold, price matches to less than $150.

Just puttin it out there

i was on ncix searching the 5850 and the prices there were like 320+. i never saw one under 300. So between the 5850 and gtx 470, which one is better in terms for gaming, movies and etc. And the gtx 470 is 370 at the very least. since i got time to save for a gpu, i can get one of the more higher end ones but i believe the 5850 is more than enough for hon, cs1.6, and d3 and whatever comes out next

I know what cs1.6 is... it's very old and any computer can run it. I don't know what the other 2 are. With 5850 and 470's, we're talking about metro 2033, BC2 and Crysis here. CS1.6 takes next to no hardware to run, compared with the 470. Just wait for a sale, the regular ncix prices are ridonculous and you'd have to be stupid or desperate to buy them at regular price

Hey, for HoN and Diablo 3 , evne an HD3850 will run those at MAX settings on a 24" monitor.
So don't shoot for that high .

Oh and ask one more stupid question, and i will personally kick your ass tonight .

NCIX.com - Buy Gigabyte GeForce GTX 470 Fermi 607MHZ 1280MB 3348MHZ GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI MINI-HDMI Video Card - GV-N470D5-13I-B In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy Antec Truepower New 650W Modular Power Supply ATX12V V2.3 Active PFC 80 Plus SLI Ready 120MM PWM Fan - TP-650 In Canada.

pretty good deals. I haven't had much experience with Antec, but this psu looks solid. Do some research before buying :)

Actually most of the recent onboard graphics are able to run CS1.6 quite well :)

You my friend, need some new games.
