I know these components can probably be found for cheaper elsewhere, but NCIX has a nice PC Builder, so I thought I would just post the link:

just a thing to note: I chose the P755D-E Pro instead of the regular because it has something different with it's bandwidth controller that allows both SATA 3, USB 3, and PCI-E to run at full capacity at the same time, the regular P755D-E, IIRC, can only focus on one at a time, while limiting the other two.

Also, the PSU might be a bit overkill; I think I could get by with a 550W.

I would wait until the next sale and add a few bucks to go with a 5850 instead of that GTX260. Or at the very least, buy a used card instead. It's definitely not worth that price.

ah, I just found out there is a 55 nm version of that card from EVGA that is "Superclocked" - it seems to run at a core speed of 626 MHz, as opposed to the 576 MHz on the regular version. The memory speed and shader clock are also faster....whatever that means....

It's $20 more, what would you say?

EDIT: for some reason, NCIX's preview page seems to be broken. In the PC Builder, the original card is listed at $225, yet when you go to preview it, it's listed at $245

So the actual prices are like this:

GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 $225

EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 55nm Superclocked Edition $245

Still not worth that kind of money for a GTX260.

hmmm... alright, I'll hold off for a while; I'm in no rush.

what do you think? Is the 5770 a good card? It's waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy cheaper than a 5850, but it's still DX11 compatible and still has GDDR5
