Default Need help building budget gaming rig!

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Gaming, web surfing, watching movies

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
-$800-1100

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
-Vancouver, Canada Ncix

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy,
nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
-no perference in brands

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
- i have a 24 inch samsung monitor, mouse, keyboard, OS(windows 7)

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
- no i do not plan on overclocking(Don't know much about it)

8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
hopefully in 2-3 weeeks
9. What resolution do you use?
1920-1080

well start off with a 5870 or 5850, corsair psu(600 for one card)

cpu and mobo...hmm..save your casho and go amd regor and a giga board of your choice.
ram? if you have ddr2 use it else you can go to ddr3

RAM/GPU: G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2 GB 1600 mhz CAS Latency 7 and HD 5870
HDD: Seagate 7200.12 1 TB
PSU: Corsair 750W
Case: HAF 922

btw, the xfx 5870 is on sale for a sweet price in ncix!!!

and change that seagate to Wd black... i know that the .12 series is better than .11 .. but for 1TB of data, i wouldnt risk it.

and always PM ncix with the best price... use shopbot.ca AND pricecanada.com to check out lowest price! good luck man!!!

EDIT:

Btw, u sure u wont be getting an aftermarket heatsink? lol 20bucks extra wouldnt hurt.. but ok, since you stated that you wont be overclockin it....

It's sold out now actually. The 5850 on sale is sold out too.

But yeah lilevilboi, that looks like an awesome build. Pretty simular to one I have in the mail, only I went i7 860 and 5850.
