advice 1st WC build please help Complete Noob, fellow Canuck so please be kind ... I need some help, pls suggest Vendor, Products (Man/Part), & Tools (paint too, it must be black). Don't want any coloured tubing just flat black, no lights, no buzzers, no bells just want it clean and functional. I want to WB the CPU, Motherboard components, RAM, & probably ditch the 9800's though I don't game much any more so they are sufficient for wanting Ninjavideo on my HDTV. - Want two loops: (a) Motherboard, CPU, RAM, (b) Graphics Cards - Want my reservoirs that sitting in those 5.25 bays. - Want to keeps everything inside the Haf932, willing to lose the giant topside fan for the Rad(s) - Want to deal with attacking legions of dust bunnies, suggest filters, screens - Want to rewire, heat shrink the cabling, lose the coloured connectors - Want it dead quiet, everything must be tight & inconspicuous Case: Haf 932 MB: P6T Deluxe v1 board RAM: 6GB Video: 9800 GTX (2) Power: 850W GamePwr Running Karmic though that doesn't matter, unless anyone is suggesting OS based tools. Much thanks in advance. |
Tubing, and bard size Please educate me about Tubing, bard size. |
congrats for deciding on the WC... i can only dream of spending 500bucks for wc gear.. lol but i m considering it VERY VERY hard to wc my comp... anyway, i'll try to help the best i can go to dazmode.com and get the wc gear there.... daz is very helpful and located in canada!! :canadianwave: for tubing, i guess 1/2" Inner Diameter (ID) tubing is good, the Outer Diameter (OD) of 1/2" ID is usually 3/4" OD I would get compressions (probably < 100bucks extra) instead of barbs + zipties.. i mean may as well right? get right angle or 45degrees connectors also... since you are doing dual loops and there might be lots of tubing going everywhere... lol are you going to OC the ram??? which cpu are you using? if the socket 1156, i m pretty sure their ram runs at 1.6v for the higher spec ones? ddr2 run @ 2.1V for my gskill ddr2-1000... so i m guessing, u dont need to wc the ram. edit: didnt see you using p6t... so anybody out there using i7 s1366? not sure about the ram specs for that socket why dont you wc the mosfets instead? |
God I wish I could have gotten away with only $500 ,I am half way through my first wc build and I will easily top $1600 |

I think my single loop is at or past $1000. To the OP: I am thinking you are not wanting something super flashy then? What "look" are you looking for? |
Easy to spend a lot of money on wc I posted pics in my profile album hope to finish this weekend , will post more pics . I got a huge amount of my info just reading here , I would put together a list of what I think I want price it out then put it up here and see what everyone says , but it can get expensive real fast so watch out |
