Smile What is difference with LGA 1156 motherboard vs 1136?

How much performance difference is there between both? Thinking of buying new i7 laptop?

LGA 1366 are on X58 chipset witch is Triple Channel compatible with I7, I7 Extreme et the new CPU from intel that is going to be release tonight.

LGA 1156 is more mainstream, dual channel I3,5,7... etc

1336 platforms also have more PCI-E bandwidth, which is good for 3-4 video cards. 2 cards would be fine on 1156 platforms. Oops didnt see you said laptop. Not really sure whats available for laptop but pcie bandwidth wont matter for a lappy since there is only one card for laptops. Are there any SLI lappys? I could imagine how hot that would get.
