Look, I don't have CFM and static pressure ratings on all the fans in both cases, but for the moment let's assume that on low the 1200's fans run at the same RPMs and the airflow is proportional to the area of the circular fan. Both cases have one 200mm fan exhausting at the top, and one 120 at the back (1200 has another that will be worked into the equation). Therefore, we're comparing 2 200mm fans to 5 120mm fans. The 200mm fans have ~9000mm^2 of area, while each 120mm has ~3000mm^2 of area. Therefore 1 200mm fan ~ 3 120mm fans. Therefore, the HAF pushes about 1 120mm fan of air more than the 1200. While I don't actually "know" that the HAF pushes the same air, though I'm pretty sure it's comparable, something needs to be considered. The HAF has a very large side fan, which does absolute wonders at cooling GPUs, as compared to the 120mm side fan on the 1200. Granted the front fans probably cool the CPU a bit better, but it's nothing like the Δh you'll see on the GPU.

Regardless, airflow was not my main point. The 6 120mm fans on the 1200 will be MUCH louder than the HAF's fans, even set to low. Not to mention my other main problems with the case including but not limited to: the terrible HDD mounting system that makes swapping and adding drives a pain and faces them front-to-back rather than side-to-side, terrible support for WC down the road (as opposed to the HAF which can fit (theoretically) a 360mm rad, 2 240mm rads, and 2 120mm rads, and that the 1200 has less room from front to back for fitting long graphics cards (unless you're willing to take out a HDD cage and lose the capacity + fan).

I dont find the 1200 loud at all, but i dont have the fans on max either, temps are nice and low. Might even kick them down to the lowest setting. I didnt get the dominator gt kit, picked up a corsair xms3 8-8-8-24 6gb 1600mhz kit instead. So far im liking the build immensely, almost time to see how far i can o/c the new 930

I started off as a lover of the Antec cases (I myself use an Antec 900), recently i've become infatuated with CoolerMaster cases. If and when i have the spare dough to build my I7 rig, that's the route I'd be going.

If you're not going to do watercooling, you can get away with a CM 690, but if you need the spacious room of a full tower for WC, go with the HAF 932.

Im not using a side fan either, not sure if I really need to. My only complaint on the case is the led lights, not really a big fan of those, thankfully i dont sleep with my pc. Case has lots of room, even long enough to fit a 4870x2 in and not lose a hard drive slot. Temps are pretty good too i think, mid 30's idling(depending on ambient temps as low as 29c on core4 and a high of 41c on core1) 68c is the highest load temp ive seen so i think i have a bit of room to play on the o/c.

You're right, I don't own it...I own its younger brother with fewer fans, and even that's too loud IMO.

Who cares? Well, when you recommend it to somebody who will find it too loud (which, as I have demonstrated, is very possible) I'll bet they'll care.

Noise anoyance is a personel thing, the OP Higgy10 find this case not loud , so you are not relevent to this tread with your argue ...and you don't demonstrate anything at all. first of all you own a 900, not a 1200 , the fan at front are not control the same way, the 1200 have a reostat , so you have more option for the adjustment I own one, obviously the OP ear one..I think we can judge ourself about the noise level, so your google theory , you can put it where I think ..' if you want a silent PC , switch your 900 for a Imac.. they are dead silent , I know I have one

The 1200 definitely isn't loud. When I was running one, I kept all the fans as low as they go, it was fine. Noise is something that I don't like in a machine, and only tolerate it when absolutely necessary.
Which is why someone else has to listen to the 600 watt GameXStreme I have, terribly noisy, that.
