How big of a factor does the memory play in the performance of the card? The 5670 1GB version is still only like $125.

My System Specs

Default

I was in your boat only a month or two ago. Needed a new rig for animation/graphics. Ended up getting everything in my system specs. Shyte works nicey. I mainly use photoshop, illustrator, indesign and flash-CS4. Then there are the times i need to do some compositing and the like. Then after effects, premiere and encore come out. After effects and Premiere I think would benefit from the hyper threading the i7 series offers but the i5 750 runs through it well enough for me.

Hope that helps. Its a pain finding an animation nerd with computer whatchamacallit. lol
Where'd you study animation?
