Alright, gs-kill memory then. 1333 or 1666 ?

Also, I like this thread; lots of debating. :) I emailed AMD asking where I can find the 555 but they had no direct answers. The return email just listed random on-line stores in the States. Mark, the 550 will be the processor I will be getting. This thread got me thinking about the M4A79XTD but I guess if I can't keep it stable at 3.8+ then there's no point really. The UD3P will have to do.

CMetaphor, how's the 3870X2 doing? I think I was the one who sold it to you. I couldn't stand how loud that thing was. It sounded like it was a JET during gaming.

edit: Actually, anyone want to give their opinion on the M4A785TD-V EVO ($101) vs the GA-MA770T-UD3P ($85)?

One of these two. If you plan to OC much then get option 2.

And how about an Athlon X4 620 lemonlime?
Can't say I've ever used one of the Propus core chips yet. From what I've seen, they will overclock quite well. It is a shame they have half the L2 of the dual core Propus models and no L3. For the price though, you can't beat a quad for $100

Some of the early X4 and X3 Athlon II chips were actually recycled deneb cores. Some lucky buggers were able to unlock the multipliers, core AND the L3 cache

My honest suggestion is from even a Fanboy Standpoint. I love Gigabyte to death, always have, always will. However for what its worth I purchased the ASUS EVO's because they have proven to be Stable, Feature Rich and Reliable.
So I Would Recommend the EVO hands down. I actually Own Two now, with Intent to buy a Third.

Yep, I'd have to agree with ST. After having reviewed two of them, I'd have to say that they are the best AM3 boards you can get at around the $100 price point

One thing to consider is that if you do plan to unlock other cores not all boards can.

Good point, Luckily for him the EVO is capable of doing such a thing.

I'd hit the order button my friend and enjoy your new setup.

Sounds good guys. Thanks for the suggestions and help. I'm glad I posted. Should I wait till NCIX's new sale is up date or just click order?
