Default New i7 build

I m getting myself a new pc and I just want to make sure I miss nothing.

Mobo: Asus rampage 2 extreme
Cpu:Intel i7 920(planing to oc @ 3.4Ghz)
Ram:Patriot viper serie 6 Gb (3x2)
Cpu Heat Sink: coolermastyer v10
Video Card: XFX ati 5770
Case : Antec 900
Power Supply: antec Quattro 1000w(had a bargain on this one)
System HDD: OCZ vertex 30Gb SSD
Data HDD: WesternDigital caviar black 1TB

My current display only run @ 1220x900

I know some part may seem to be a bit overkill(mobo) but I want top reliability for some years so that why.

If anybody had issue with tose part please tell me.

Thanks

What can I say, I just receive the same board yesterday, my forth Extreme Asus board. This board is not overkill, no Motherboard are overkill, they are the part we see more, so you better to like it . Your antec case is good too as long as you put an extra , or 2 fans on front of the hard Drive. If I was changing something on your list , I will get an Intel or Ocz 60 gb drive, my 80 Gb is at 30 gb load for now. so 30 gb is too small. I will may be change the cooler too. get the Megalahem

Few thing's I'd recommend:
First, if you're getting the RIIE, plan to OC higer, 3.8 or so.
Second, change out the cooler. It's a good cooler, but at the price you can get MUCH better things. Among the best is the Titan Fenrir, the Zalman (some weird model number) Flex is a great one, though you'll need to buy a fan or two.
Third, you need nowhere near 1000W, I'd say get the Corsair HX850. It can handle 3 x GPUs, it's quiet, the quality is incredible, etc.
Fourth, DON'T get the Antec 900. It's a terrible case compared to what you can get for the money. Go with the HAF 922, CM 690 II, Lexa S, Tempest EVO, not the god-damn 900.

Then he used his prize money to buy two of every whore on Earth. Then he herded them all onto a boat, then they all beat the crap out of every single one of him.

He said he have a bargain on the antec...
If you gone to change the case get the Lancool K62. it's the best one, totally tool free. Lian Li quality, the side windows will put your ROG board in value, it don't have the useless side fan in the way , and the best deal, the dust don't go inside, it's stay on the grill outside, so you just vacuum the grill time to time. The quality is a notch higher than the CM, forget the HAF, they just collect dust. The Lexa.... beware that you have to open a door every time you switch a DVD....

For my 900 fans...forget about my comment, they come with it.

My System Specs

Default DO stepping

If by going to a local computer store and knowing the part number or paying the extra 50$ at Ncix I would go DO stepping 920. :)

^^^^ Absolutely

^^^ Ah really?....I certainly wouldn't want to risk frying HW and running 3 x 280's and an I7 under load with an 850W, hell I'm pushing 900W under full load. Nothing wrong at all with a 1kW, particularly if he got it on sale, great way to "future proof" any Rig!! Wayyyy better off to get a PSU with ample headroom then one that just cuts the mustard and have to buy another one 6 months later cause you decide you want to upgrade GPU's (as in multi GPU's).

^^^ I most certainly would stay away from a 900, not sure what to recomend as I haven't looked at Cases at all siince getting my Silverstone a couple of years ago, but I'm sure thier are a lot better out thier

What a nice way to crook someone of $ 50, especially knowing the CO is discontinued .

@rjbarker:
True, running an i7 and 3 280s on an 850W PSU is generally a bad idea. However, first, this is a very high-quality 850, and, second, who the hell runs 3 x 280s anymore? They were power-sinks when they came out, and they're even more of power-sinks now that you can get a 5850 that performs better and uses significantly less power for the same price. 3 280s on an 850W? No. 3 5850s on one looks a lot better.

Even so, he's getting a 5770 to start. Even if in 6 months he decides to add 2 more 5770s, you can quad-fire 5770s on a good 750W PSU. I wouldn't worry about a 1000W PSU at the moment.
