Default Wondering what your guyz opinion is on my rig
I have been working on this build awile but only saw this thread now (updated the HDD's last week so it is sorta new)

Asus P5k64 ws
Intel q9550
8gb 133mhz low profile kingston value ram
Saphire 4870 1gb
2x 1tb seagate Es.2 in raid 0
2x said drives backing up the raid 0
dvd burner black
CM Stacker ATX / BTX a.k.a. STC-T01
Power Up! 800w
Samsung 225bw
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit signature edition
Fan controller bunch of fans

Final cost is $830.00

Some stuff used some new
Trades were involved

Ya I would've went 1156 for that price but if you gathered the parts over time I guess not much you can do... And PowerUp PSU?? Is it this one with all the reviews saying it will die in 1 year? PowerUp GEN-6803 800-Watt Power Supply - SLI-Ready, Dual 80mm Fan (Blue) at TigerDirect.com

That q9550 is a good chip though and 4870 is decent! Not sure about your mobo...

A solid build. It's got some solid parts, though the LGA 775 and 48xx card is a bit outdated. Also a bit skeptical of the PSU.

I agree with the others. Nowadays upgrade/new build sights should be focused on Core i5 as a minimum.

Not to bad, but as the others have said, a i5 would have been the way to go. Still, the Q9550 ain't bad, as I just got rid of mine. I also would have went with Western Digital Black Caviars in RAID 0 for that kind of array. Other than that, looks solid, it should do you fine
