My System Specs

Its a DO sorry i forgot to mention that i was kind of tired while posting. It was like the last processor they had in stock, I actually saw them take it out of the display case at ncix. I have tried to get my voltages down but if i set them lower my system becomes unstable. I was watching my voltages in cpuz and i noticed the voltages for vcore are higher idle then 100% load is that normal? Also when I went set my ram at 1900mhz i really had to up my qpi. From 1.2 to 1.460. Any advice about overclocking would be great and very appreciated I'm still a bit of a noob when it comes to OC.

My Boards an Evga Classy, so the OC settings I have will be entirely different from yours. he only Voltages I have weaked are vCore, vTT and vDimm, most everything else on "Auto. My original CO stepping 920 requires 1.3175v for 3.83Ghz......your DO should be quite a bit lower vCore then mine...seems to me a few folks were getting to 3.8 @ 1.25v

I have my 920 at 3.8 @ 1.185V, but I think it's cuz my ram is so horribly underclocked. I need to get around to OCing those too...

I must have a crap chip i guess cause it won't run under 1.350 vcore. I put some thought into my video card choice and I wanted to go with the new ATI 5xxx but I just put a new 4890 in my old system about a half year ago. I put my friends 8800gtx in my old system and for another 194 bucks I crossfired this system which gets a pretty nice 3dmark score. I plan to get the best dx11 card next christmas when yields/prices are better and both sides have showed their hands. I almost went with the evga classy cause the colour scheme was awesome but I thought this would be a better board. What do you guys think?

4890x2? Beast of a setup. I wonder what the power draw is on that puppy.

A lot....think, nuclear power station....thats about what you'd need to power this rig as the 4890's drink power like an alcoholic drinks beer and the i7 is on another level still in terms of power use.

I will have to check my hydro bill at the end of the month and see how much it goes up:P I joined the folding team but I'm not doing any hardcore folding yet because I haven't had time to read up on it fully.
Anybody know how compatible it is with crossfire and the 9.12 ati drivers?
