Default Help with a I7 920 build

Time to replace my 5 yr old desktop. Looking at an all around system not really a gamer maybe some HT use in the future. Here's what I'm looking at so far.

I7 920 (no over clocking for now).
Gigabyte X58A-UD5
Coolmaster CM690 II
WD 1TB Caviar black
Gigabyte HD5670
Corsair TX750 watt
OCZ Gold 6GB DDR3

Do I need a CPU cooler? open to suggestions especially on the power supply, memory and video card.
I'm at home with a broken leg so I need something to work on. Thanks.

Your parts list is fine, although I tend to lean to Corsair or G.Skill for memory. I would put a Coolermaster Hyper 212 HSF on even if you aren't OC'ing. It will drop your load temps significantly, it's under $30, and will give you headroom to OC if you want.

Thanks for the input on the cooler I'll look into getting one. I wasn't sure on the ram I see NCIX has a 6gb Corsair kit on sale.

The OCZ Golds they have on sale are actually faster than the Corsair ones on sale. DDR3-1600 8-8-8-24 vs. DDR3-1333 9-9-9-24. Nothing wrong with OCZ, I just hate the MIR run-around.

I hear you seems like you have to wait 6 months to get your $ back.

Usually takes a couple months, but not nearly six. Got mine from XFX in ~6 weeks, but I never got my one from Xigmatek. MIRs are nice, but I don't typically count them in the price of an item.

Why such a large power supply when you're only running a non-overclocked i920 and a 5670? Also, you're spending a lot on a mobo considering you're not overlcocking/gaming. Take a look at this Gigabyte board that still offers USB 3.0 and SATA 6G for about $50.00 less.

Any reason you went w/ the EX58-UD5 over the X58A-UD5?
