All is fine except the PSU: if I remember correctly the 1.2k was not that good. I used the BFG 1200W when I used to GPU fold with quad GX2s, and it ran damn fine - was cheaper too. Deadthings is now the proud owner of the PSU... |
The PSU is the only thing I was not so sure.... I choose the Antec because it have 8 x 6 connectors for the card ( if I count the 6+2 ) , I guess I can use molex adaptor for the 2 missing on the BFG , all true I put the Antec in the list of New Egg for simplicity , I have an other source for it at $ 238 .... |
I used 2 of those to split the PCI-e power for the GX2s. NCIX.com - Buy Works 6 Pin PCI-E Splitter Cable - 1 PCIe Female 6 Pin to 2 PCIe Male 6+2 Pin (6 or 8) - CB-6M-68F2 In Canada. |

those work just fine, but make sure you're using a single 12v rail PSU. multi-rail psus don't normally take well to molex and other PCIe adapters. Or get a silverstone :thumb: |

Get a Strider Plus 1200W. You'll love it. ST |
Mark don't you have enough computer? Seem's fair to me but, I would downgrade the PSU to a good 1000 or 850W and put a better CPU and run the CPU client to. with bonus you get more PDD compare to a GPU. |
The BFG has 1 rail per PCI-e cable, hence why it could run all 4 GX2s. |
If you want the best PPD per cost your best bet would likely to go w/ a i7. A Bigadv can pull 22,000 - 25,000ppd PPD on a ~4GHz i7. |
