I would add a BLack HDD or an SSD for the OS etc. I'm running one rig with a Green primary, and it's sluggish. Quiet, but sluggish.

If you want some speed drop this HD or use it for storage and install windows on a SSD or a black series WD drive. green are to low for windows purpose.

How sluggish do you think the Green is? compared to the Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB

always depend. The green have the ability to fall in sleep mode after some time of doing nothing so this can give you up to 10 second wait in some operation. the green also run at lower speed and have more acoustic management compared to the black so somewhat lower. It's a very good data disk instead but wasn't meant to do more.

Personally I prefer raid 1 instead of SSD because of space for now. I am a medimu gamer and my game take more then 200GB so I will soon go with 2X in raid striping WD640 Black edition which are pretty fast drive.
