just done thinking - dangerous I know, the misses tells me not to - there is 170mm of space between the mounting board in the case and the fan guard. however, there is the mobo and spacers and cpu depth to account for - struggling here to find anything on scan may have to go watercooling route !!!!
help me Obiwon

The Corsair H-50 Water cooling setup looks nice and small and very neat, not sure how it performs because I don't own one but I have heard it performs just as well as most of the high end air coolers. I would look into it if I were you.

Good Luck.

hey,
this one?
CWCH50-1 - Corsair H50-1 Hydro Series High-performance CPU Watercooler,

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Corsair-H50-1-Hydro-Series-High-performance-CPU-Watercooler-LGA775-1156-1366-AM2-2plus-AM3-NEW

I have never messed with water cooling, but this looks simple enough? are they easy to mount and where do i put the radiator? also does it come with everything i need?
cheers
steve

Thanks mate, cant wait for the 300 Series to come out either hopefully by then I will have enough cash for one or two purchasing the rest of my build will bring me down for a while lol.
Good luck with your build.

EDIT: Thats the one, it is also a very easy to install water cooling loop I would imagine easier than a few of the bigger air CPU coolers. it's a 120mm Radiator & fan so you should be able to mount it on any 120mm exhaust.

This video should help:

Hey,
my new h50 cooler just turned up. I have managed to stick one of my fingers in the pre-applied thermal silver. i have smoothed it out a little with some clingfilm. does this matter? should i clean it off and re-apply new stuff or will it be ok.
cheers guys

It will be ok, Or you can clean it and apply better paste like AS5 or IC24.
