Core i5 - better mobo and lesser gpu

Uses:
Content creation - Adobe CS4
Gaming(1920x1080 - just bought the monitor) - CS:S and some random other games.

I'm on an exact budget and have thought that rather than going

Gigabyte p55m-ud2 + radeon hd 5770 v2 + 500gb sata HDD

I might be better off going

MSI p55-gd65 + Radeon HD 4670 750MHZ 1GB 1.6GHZ GDDR3 + 1tb sata HDD

I plan on overclocking.

I guess my main concern is will this card hold its own with games that came out in the past couple years. For newer games i wouldn't mind dialing down the eye candy.

Also wondering if anyone has heard how it handles windows 7.
Help would be greatly appreciated!

You'd be better off with a better GPU and lesser mobo. There probably won't be a tremendous difference as far as CPU overclockability goes, and when it comes to gaming the 5770 will give you significantly better performance than a 4670. You could even go with a 4890 instead which would be even faster.

can't agree more, GPU over MB any day of the week IMO, especially with P55. for the average overclock, the motherboard with P55 is going to play very little difference. Even if it does, you are going to see more performance gains in gaming with a higher end GPU than you will with an extra 200MHz on CPU clocks.

i strongly suggest the higher end GPU.

That 5770 will make you much more happy than going with an MSI board and a poor 4670.
