Newbie needs help.

I'm not looking for an entirely new system. I'm just looking for a new video card and power supply because I know next to nothing about them and any suggestions you could give me would be greatly greatly appreciated.

I multi-table poker online, video conference with friends, surf and watch 720p vids and high-def streams. I want to be able to watch the 720p vids and high-def streams without it stuttering. Poker isn't very graphics intensive but can be resource intensive. The card must be able to support a 2048x1152 display.

I would like to spend less than $300 over-all and under $200 if possible.

I'm in BC and I'd like to be able to get the parts at NCIX if possible because they have Interac and are cheaper than most other places I find. Newegg and TigerDirect seem reasonable as well.

I'm running XP 32-bit Home on an X2 4600+ with 2GB on this motherboard ASRock > Products > AM2NF6G-VSTA
I'm also using a SyncMaster 2343 and currently using a 350 Watt Power Supply.

I have no plans to overclock I just don't think I'll need it for what I'm using my computer for.

I was just reading something about the ATI 4670 would that be a good choice as I wouldn't need to upgrade my power supply?

i'm far from an expert but i highly doubt you need to spend 200-300 on a video card and psu for your needs. A third i would guess but wait for the experts

You could get away with spending 50$ on a graphics card. Why do you need 2048x1152, almost no one uses that

4670 would work great, or even a 4650.

Multi-tabling poker is all about getting the maximum number of tables you can handle on the screen with the least overlap and that's why I bought the Samsung 2343BWX because of the 2048x1152 resolution. I picked up the 4670 from NCIX. Just in case I ever want to play the odd game.
