Default asus or evga mobo?

My Budget is $1800 for a tower (don't need monitor etc) will be using ncix or newegg ,

I am going with a I5 since its cheaper then the I7 and to be honest I want a I7 but it's a bit overkill for me since all I will be doing is surfing the net playing mmo's etc

I need advice on evga video cards and what motherboard Asus or Evga and last a power supply?

any advice I would appreciate

Thanks in advance

Wait, you dont want an i7 becasue it will be overkill for you? (Because you are mainly playing MMOs) However, you have an $1800 budget, just for these MMOs? Typically, MMOs are CPU dependant, not saying that they don't use GPU power, they do, but an i7 might be right for you. Just my two-cents.

i7 860 - $350
UD4P - $180
GTX 275 - $$270
Corsair TX750W - $110 (big sale @ NCIX plus a MIR avail)
Decent case of your choice $200
Total - $1110

Not sure what you want for HDs or DVD/bluray drives so you can add those.

There u go, I just saved you $700, merry xmas

Go EVGA definitely, I had 2 Asus motherboards I had to RMA just this week (P5E-VM HDMI due to a flaky northbridge, Maximus Formula for the bugging "New CPU" error). I got a EVGA X8 SLI LE to replace my Maximus Formula just for the peace of mind.

I would also change the heatsink for a CM 212+ and for a little bit more, get the HD 5850 instead of the GTX 275. Newegg.ca - SAPPHIRE 100282SR Radeon HD 5850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card w/ATI Eyefinity - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Don't forget to price match.
