Oh yes for sure Steve, didn't mean to say it that way.. My Opteron 165 did run hot when overclocked.. And yes when overclocking, being a little cooler does make a difference..

My System Specs


So I've installed it in the 'East-West' fashion, and have had it just running on the BIOS for the past hour or so, and idle CPU temperature is 32 Celsius. It's inside the HAF 922, with the three case fans on, and the heatsink fan at 2000'ish RPM's, so I guess 100%.

That seems to be about the norm, right? Or could I be getting it down a bit more? Granted, this isn't stressing it out, but before I hit any benchmarks next week, I'd like to know if I'm in OK shape so far; last thing I want to be doing is cooking smores while Prime 95 is running. :P

...I may not be in the best of shape lol! Maybe a reapplication of grease will do the trick, because it looks and feels like the heatsink is seated properly.
