Question i7 x64 or XP x64 for gaming PC?

Hi guys.
Here is my system:

EVGA CLASSIFIED 141-BL-E760-A1
i7 920 D0 with CM v8 HSF
OCZ XMP Ready Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
150 GB WDRaptor+1 TB WDCaviar
CORSAIR CMPSU-750HX 750W
XFX Radoen 5850 (BACKORDERED)
LG W2453V-PF Black 24" 2ms

Installed Windows 7 x64 and how i see most of games aren't compatible for it, do you recommend switch to XP x64 ?

i7 x64. You're pretty much guaranteed to not find drivers for XP x64. Any relatively new game will run in Windows 7. What made you think they wouldn't run? They simply run as x86.
Any game that runs in Vista will run in Windows 7. Same with the drivers as long as they're the same bit-version.

win 7 for sure. What game cant you urn on win7??? I have never saw a game witch don't work with it. you only have to install it in the X86 program files instead of the program files ( witch have no X86 in folder name )

Ask for more.

As long as it's a 32 bit or 64 bit game, it will work.

Knights of the Old Republic doesn't like 7 very much. Pretty much everything else I have been running works on 7. And again, XP x64 isn't going to be very useful to you due to a almost zero driver support for hardware.

I've got Windows 7 Enterprise installed, and everything seems to be running fine. I was most worried about Solidworks, but that works well too.
