Under $2000: Your Thoughts?

A friend of mine is updating his old Dell Inspiron 8200 to something new. He wants to keep it under $2000 monitor included. Right now myself and another friend have come up with these parts, and I was looking for some other input.

G.Skill 4GB DDR3-2000 Ripjaws
XFX 5850
Corsair HX750
BenQ E2400HD
WD Caviar Black 640GB in RAID 0
Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus

So far the total is ~$1800 taxed. He isn't looking to max his budget, he just wants quality parts.

He has already got his own mouse and keyboard and doesn't care if he uses onboard audio. The monitor is the only thing I'm slightly unsure about. Will this do for him? He's mainly going to do gaming on it, not photo/video editing so colour isn't very important. He also doesn't care about the resolution. Not going to bother with SSDs yet, he wants to wait until the prices go down. OS is also fine because he's going to get Windows 7 for $30 when the special comes out in Canada.
