Default Gaming Build $900~

So far this is what I have come up with an it comes to around $920 ($1070 after shipping and tax). The HDD and DvD burner i have from my old computer so i don't have to purchase those. I am wondering how good the parts i have chosen are and what i can drop/replace to make it cheaper. This is mainly for gaming and videos.

Case:Antec Nine Hundred Two Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail $150

GPU: ASUS EAH4870 DK/HTDI/1GD5 Radeon HD 4870 Dark Knight 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported ... - Retail $172

PSU: CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX 550W ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power ... - Retail $99

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model F3-16000CL9D-4GBRH - Retail $107

MOBO: ASUS P7P55D LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail $170

CPU: Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80605I5750 - Retail $220

Any input will be great!!!

First thing to do is check NCIX or DirectCanada for prices. Looks to me like you can save some coin by shopping there. (in Canada)

-NCIX.com - Buy Antec Nine Hundred Mid Tower Gamer Case 900 ATX 9 Drive Bay No PS Top USB2.0 1394 Audio - NINE HUNDRED In Canada.-105.98 weekly special
-NCIX.com - Buy XFX Radeon HD 4870 750MHZ 1GB 3.6GHZ GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI HDCP Video Card - HD487AZWFC In Canada.-139.99-XFX lifetime warranty
-ASUS P7P55D LE LGA1156 P55 DDR3 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 3PCI Crossfire GBLAN 6SATA IDE Motherboard - DirectCanada-139.99

I like this case
Coolermaster Haf 922 Mid Tower ATX Case Black 5X5.25 5X3.5INT Front Audio USB eSATA No PSU - DirectCanada better than your pick. It has better cable management options

The parts look good, but if I were you, I would buy from NCIX or DirectCanada because for the most part they have lower prices then Newegg, and if you live outside of BC, you only pay 5% tax.

EDIT: haha, looks like stoanee beat me to it

Here's a few changes that could be made to fit in your budget.

Antec Three Hundred 53.99
AMD Phenom II X4 955 215.98
Gigabyte 790XT-UD4P 142.40
Corsair TX750W 111.99 Leaves much more room for upgrade and cheaper after MIR
G.Skill DDR3-1333 9-9-9-24 2x2gb 89.99
Powercolor HD4890 199.99 Gives a bit more power for a gaming rig and is nearly same price after MIR.

Total: 814.34
Shipped at my door for example with insurance: 903.09
MIR (which were not factored in any prices): 57$

Edit: If possible I'd try to get a bit bigger case for cable management... and an aftermarket cooler such as the Coolermaster Hyper 212+ so that you can overclock the CPU and get the most out of it.

Going in a somewhat different route for a Case, I think you might like either the NZXT Lexa S or the M59.

Good Cases, and they are fairly cheap if you shop around.

+1 to getting from NCIX or DirectCanada, and dont' forget to Price Match!
