$1200 Intel - First Build - Overclocking

Hello everybody, this is my first actual post in here , I'm trying to build a system for Extreme Overclocking...

My Budget : $1000 - $1200
Uses: ===>>> Heavy Gaming - HD Video Encoding - Multitasking. ( SLI / Crossfire Capability )

Im new to the whole overclocking scene and Im thinking of building this second rig to practice overclocking and later use it for playing Games (crysis) and video editing..... Since I already have a quad Im going to go with a dual this time. I want to practice pushing the CPU to over 4GHz. and also do some overclocking on Video card and Memory.

what do you guys think of this build ?

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz ( Lapped )

GA-EP45-UD3P (rev. 1.1)

8GB OCZ Blade PC2 8500 1066mhz

Sapphire HD 4850X2

Corsair 1000W

True Black + 2x 3000 RPM Kaze Fans ( Lapped + Washer Mod + Dual Fan Push Pull Setup )

COOLER MASTER HAF 932

I have the monitor,mouse,keyboard,hdd,dvd rom

Well ever part are really good. You can drop the 1000W and get the extra money for something you ever wanted:) the build will suck up to 600W maximum so a good corsair 750 will be fine.

Ask for more.

The P45-UD3P is a great crossfire board. I can run my early Q9450 at 3.8Ghz while staying under 1.36 volts. Benches at 4Ghz are possible but I haven't got stability.

yea I would probably get the Coolermaster 850W , much cheaper.

Im planning to take mine to something around ~4.5ghz , I just need to know if I should change the NB , SB coolers or not ? I dont want to overheat the board =/

In order to OC that high. You really should be going WC to get an OC of 4.5GHz.

not necessarily , as long as I keep a good air flow I should be able to hit a number close to 4.5... Im just worried about the mosfets and NB/SB ? need to know if I should change the stock coolers or not.

Not probable.

NB and SB will be really hot at 4.5. What I suggest is to get anec spot cool fan they will help more.

yeah I thought about the spot cooler and also changing the NB/SB heatsinks but problem is Im using a True Black with two fans and so I cant change the stock mosfets heatsink which is connected to the NB heatsink , Im not sure if you get what Im trying to say

Edit 1 : * this is not my picture but it should give you an idea of what Im talking about except I have a fan on each side of the heatsink and so cant use a very tall mosfet cooler like the ones from thermalright...
