Exclamation OVERCLOCKER DREAM PC

:help:I am a computer store owner and i was looking for some input. I plan onto make custom overclock-er and other enthusiast pcs. here is a example build bellow

Build 1
-ASUS RAMPAGE II
-Intel Core i7-975 Extreme Edition Bloomfield

-2- Western Digital Veocilraptor in Raid 0
-1-Western Digital Caviar Green 1.5Tera with 32MB
-2- EVGA GTX 295 CO-OP Edition
-CoolerMaster HAF 932 Full-Tower Case
-PSU not sure something in the lines of 1200WATT remember the case can hold another psu if u remove water-cooling tube area.
-4 stick of Kingston KHX11000D3LLK2 hyper 1375MHz
-Maybe a blue-ray drive

so what im asking is would anyone start bidding if the price was 2-3k, feel free to post your dream build and dream price no silly prices real stuff. Hope to see some cool builds

I might be wrong, but the overclocking community is more likely to build its own PC than any other CPU user, no ? Also, wouldn't a 1200Watt be way overkill for such a system ?

I would focus more on the enthusiast and the persons who don't know much but want to get much out of their PC (among which you will find kids who want to play games and ask their parents.)

You're going to get some really skewed opinions on prices here, since there's a high percentage of DIYers here, who don't have things like "profit margins" and "customer support" to worry about, and take a certain amount of pride in making $200 components clock like $1000 ones.

Also - and I may be way off base here - there's a part of me that cringes at the idea of a person who can't assemble a computer, overclocking a computer. While it's gotten far easier over the last few years, there's still some knowledge required. And customer support is enough of a pain without adding in the possibility of an unstable overclock into the equation.

Why should the post be closed? There are still quite a few people who may want to chime in.

For me, I would get rid of the RIIE and replace it with either an EVGA Classified.

Where's the SSD Drives? Jam a few of them in there, in RAID 0!

Well... a Dream PC for me would be this:

Corsair Obsidian Case
EVGA x58 Classified Motherboard
12 GB of 2000 Mhz Corsair Dominator GT ram
3 x EVGA GTX 285 2 GB SSC Versions in 3-way SLI (it'll outperform 2 295's)
Intel Core i7 Extreme 975 CPU
4 x 256 GB Corsair SSD's in RAID 0
I don't even know what PSU you'd need for that... somewhere along the lines of a 1200W
2 x Sony Blu-Ray Drives.

That's a dream PC... i doubt you'd have many sales with that though... considering how much the cost is... I doubt your profit margin would be very high... you'd probably have fun building it though! ;)
