For that go straight to a 1 kW....and plan to OC that CPU to at least 3.6 Ghz so those GPU's can "flex" thier muscles.

Bought it yet? I only ask because there are a lot of improvements that can be made for the price you are most likely spending.

That, and don't get a Thermaltake Bigwater SE , horrible horrible cooling choice.

Probably should drop the 780i chipset too...

I'd even drop a GTX 275 in order to do i7 with dual 275s... that way you'll be using the x58 chipset.

+1 on what everyone said, x58 would be better than 780i.

Yeah, I have to agree, at the price points most new equipment is, vs s775 stuff now, its worth it to upgrade.

That mobo is 200 bucks. X58 boards start around 200, 250 for an OK one. You can get a 920 for ~300, and q9550's are ~250. I'll spend the extra 100 bones for the i7 rig.

That board is nice, however I'm not much of a fan of the board itself... never really am of Intel made boards... personally I'd look to spend the extra $40-$50 on a decient Gigabyte board.
