Why?! That drive is slower than the Seagate. And I believe it only spins at 5400RPM for a good majority of the time.

I think the reason people were saying to go with the 270 or 285 was to save you money. If I was doing this build, and had the money I'd SLI two 285's. You'll get better performance than a single 295....That's just my opinion though.

Thats also a decent hard drive (I have a friend who has 4 of them in RAID and hasn't had a single problem). For a gaming rig though, I'd go with a faster drive for my programs and then use that for data (movies, documents, music, etc...)

Yeah, the greenpower drives are good for HTPCs or mass storage, but not gaming rigs.

Overkill in the vid card department is a good thing. No matter what your card, not far down the road is a game that won't run smoothly with full details and res, AA and AF. Or, maybe you get a bigger monitor with huge resolution, needing the best single card solution if not a multi card setup.

Their warranty is superb. Double Lifetime = you sell the vid card to someone, and they also get a lifetime warranty (providing you both register the card on their site).

I've been stickig with XFX and EVGA cards for the last several years, and no complaints at all. Only one RMA out of tons of cards, and they upgraded me to a newer card.

Just be sure if you go 2 x 285 SLI you have a beefy enough PSU.....
Although a good 750W PSU will run this, I'd recomend nothing less than a good 850W PSU....
