The 9800Gt is totally unnecessary IMO, lol... and The bigfoot killer NIC is almost more hype than anything good... and you probably couldnt fit it and youre Xfi and your Bigfoot all at once. lol

1) Save your money and get a i7 920 D0. They clock the same.
2) You won't be needing a 1500W PSU. Get the Corsair HX1000W.
3) I agree with CMetaphor. The 9800GT is extremely unnecessary. Scratch that out.
4) Take out those three dual channel kits and get two triple channel kits. It costs less. DDR3-1600 is a great speed for RAM.
5) With all the money I've saved you, get an SSD, like this. Use that as your OS drive and get a 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black (WD1001FALS).
6) Get rid of that horrible Killer NIC. If you really want a good ethernet connection (because integrated won't do for you), get an Intel Gigabit NIC. They cost much less than that POS.

There you go. Looks good now!

EDIT: Oh, and make sure that your Sound Card and NIC are PCI-E, as those will be the only slots available after you fill up and block the rest of the slots with your 2x295s.

I'm wondering why your dream build has no watercooling. Hey, while were dreaming, I'd like 10 intel ssds in a raid array and peltier cooling. Seriously though, are you going to be buying all this or will it remain a dream? Would be a bit pointless critiquing a dream build since cost wouldnt be a factor

Um... Peltier cooling = TEC cooling. Just FYI.

Thermoelectric cooling - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And the V10 in his system does use TEC cooling.

what's better anyways? the tec or watercooling? I don't know much about the non-aircooling side of things.
