Dynamic contrast ratios and response times on monitors dont mean JACK, do some research on monitors people and youll soon realize almost all of their specs are completely marketing and have no means of standardized testing to back them up. You will never see the difference between 20,000:1 Dynamic and 8000:1 normal contrast ratios nor will you see the difference between 5 and 2 ms response times.

Totally agree with you RS and the worst thing is that most of these TN panels have horrible image quality. Unfortunately on a budget there is really no choice except to wait for the Dell e-ips 22incher to go on sale!

Yeah, what FtGF said is true, thats a really nice monitor that goes on sale once in a while, otherwise pretty well any 22" monitor on the market is going to perform the same as any other, chances are the panels they are using are all made by the same place. Personally I would take a look at some of the Acer 23" monitors, even their 22" models are normally cheaper then the competition but offer very similar picture quality.

Samsung SyncMaster 2343BWX 23IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 2048X1152 5ms 20000:1DC 16:9 VGA DVI-D 1080P - DirectCanada

LG W2343T-PF 23IN 1920X1080 1080P Black LCD 5ms 30000:1 DVI VGA Monitor - DirectCanada

Acer H233H 23IN LCD Widescreen Monitor Black 1920X1080 40000:1 5MS VGA DVI HDMI - DirectCanada

There are a few monitors I would be looking at if I was looking to buy a new one.
