Budget: around 800, 900 if it is needed(USD)
Where I'm buying: newegg, maybe tigerdirect
Brands: Intel for sure, ATI and nVdia are both good for me
Old Parts: G15, DeathAdder, Monitor,4GB memory, 800mhz
When: this summer

Well this what i found so far:
Intel Quad Q9550, OC to around 3.5ghz(I don't know what fan yet, help) ($230)

That's it. Correct me if theres better choices. I would like to upgrade this when my stuff gets old. The fans are sufficient, and I don't know about the CPU cooler(Intel cooler sucks).I'm also not 100% sure if the CPU is overkill for gaming, games don't need super-CPU power, it needs graphics, but i want to make sure its good for the future at the same time. Intel chipsets (except X58) don't support SLI. If you want SLI and socket 775, you'll need 750i/780i(/790i if you want DDR3).

Looks fine, as for CPU cooler, look to get a noctua cooler or a TRUE. cant go wrong with a TRUE.

True's are bloody expensive. If you want to go cheaper a Scythe Mugen 2 is pretty good for around half the price. Don't buy the Vista Home and instead download and install the Win7RC and buy the preorder of Win7 which comes out in october. Use that money you save to grab a gtx275, although a gtx 260 at that price is pretty good.
