Default what mobo to go with my setup?

i plan on getting

1) XFX Radeon HD 4890 XXX 1GB 900MHZ 1GB 3.9GHZ GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI HDTV Video Card
2) AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Quad Core Processor AM3 3.2GHZ 8MB Cache 125W 45NM Retail Box
3) Corsair XMS3 DHX TW3X4G1600C9DHX 4GB 2X2GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 240PIN Memory Kit

update:
Diamond Radeon HD 4890 Xoc 1GB 925MHZ
MSI 790GX-G65 ATX AM3 790GX
OCZ Gold OCZ3G1600LV6GK 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 CL 8-8-8-24

now i am not sure what motherboard to go with it. i plan on crossfire in the future but not right now. i require at least 2 pci (for sound card and tv tuner), 2 ide, 2 sataII.

also i got a ocz gamextreme 600w which it comes with two 6 pin pci-e and i read somewhere the 4890 require a 8 pin and 6 pin. i don't really want to upgrade the psu now as adding another one will be over my budget.

the corsair ram is a deal from buying phenom II cpu so should i keep the deal or find better ram. i don't overclock. is 4gb enough for vista 64bit/windows 7?

sorry there is a lot of question :help:
ps. i'm a gamer

2009 - July - 7 Update:
Now running Vista Ultimate 64bit + XFX Radeon HD 4890 XXX 1GB + MSI 790GX-G65 + AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHZ + Corsair XMS3 4GB 2X2GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24

probably the best 790FX board out there

Go with this board.
NCIX.com - Buy Gigabyte MA790FXT-UD5P AMD790FX ATX AM3 DDR3 2PCI-E CrossFireX SATA2 RAID Hdsound 2GBLAN Motherboard - GA-MA790FXT-UD5P In Canada.

instead of Rapmaster I'd suggest not to got with MSI. the board is good but they have the worst service and a crappy warranty. 2 years part and labour+1 years part. At work we have notice that when we ship RMA to them they keep it 3 or 4 month before to tell Sorry out of warranty. They have lost all my respect.

Drop that crap Corsair XMS ram, for less then your paying for the 4gb you can grab a 6 gb tri channel and sell off the extra stick or keep it and skip out on dual channel.

NCIX.com - Buy OCZ Gold OCZ3G1600LV6GK 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 CL 8-8-8-24 Triple Channel Memory Kit - OCZ3G1600LV6GK In Canada.

vs

NCIX.com - Buy Corsair XMS3 DHX TW3X4G1600C9DHX 4GB 2X2GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 240PIN Memory Kit - TW3X4G1600C9DHX In Canada.

Better timings, and IMHO better ram.

If you read NCIXs XFX 4890 specs it says you need 1 6 pin 1 8 pin, you might have to either choose another card or PSU... If you go crossfire in the future your going to need a new PSU might as well get it now and go with the card you REALLY want. The GTX 275 only takes 2 6 pins but then you want to xfire so thats a no go.

Why exactly do you guys say he needs a 790FX motherboard? The OP specifically states he doesnt OC... Personally I would drop the 955, go with a x3 720BE, go with a decent 790X/GX motherboard and take the money you save and put it into a decent PSU, the TX750 comes with 4 6/8 pin connectors and would be perfect for this build, its also on sale this week for around $100 at NCIX. Since you dont plan to overclock crossfire is going to do jack all for you as your CPU is going to bottleneck both cards, youd need to OC to around 3.5ghz or so before all the strain is taken off the CPU. Some people say there is no bottleneck at higher resolutions bla bla, as far as I have seen the higher the CPU clocks the higher your FPS go up untill the 3.5-3.8ghz mark. Your going to end up spending $250 on a new video card to see 40-50% of its full potential lost.

NCIX.com - Buy NCIX Gaming Bundle Deal AMD Phenom X4 955 & MSI 790GX G65 CrossFire DDR3 Motherboard - 955-MSI-G65 In Canada.

NCIX.com - Buy AMD Power of Black Bundle Deal Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHZ & Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P DDR3 Motherboard - 720-GA-MA790XT-UD4P In Canada.

Id rather those 2 bundles over getting that XMS ram with the CPU, I prefer the x3 720 + the Gigabyte board myself but to each his own, I havent quite bought into the whole gotta get a quadcore thing...

NCIX.com - Buy Corsair TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply Active PFC 140MM Fan - CMPSU-750TX In Canada.

PSU $100

NCIX.com - Buy Corsair TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply Active PFC 140MM Fan - CMPSU-750TX In Canada. they dont list the power requirements on this card... but acording to the XFX website this model only needs 2 6pins so you should be ok, its the xxx edition that requires a 6 and an 8 =)

Graphic Cards - ATI Radeon HD 4000 - ATI Radeon? HD 4890

DON'T GET DIAMOND'S VIDEO CARD!!!!

Stay away from them, worst customer service you will encounter, get the XFX instead.

If you want a crossfire budget board with good overclocking, get the 790XT-UD4P from Gigabyte.

Best suggestion ever. I bought a Diamond card last year, needed to RMA it two months later. Just a month ago, I finally got an RMA approval, (in 9 months or so) and now I still haven't gotten the card back.

No the XFX XXX edition cards do, read my post, youll notice that the base model 4890 card only needs 2 6 pins =) Stay well away from diamond, I say the same about saphire as well, ive had some HORRIBLE experiences with both companies and will never give them another cent of my hard earned money. Honestly from an on paper point of view the card that takes a 6 and an 8 pin would theoretically overclock higher as it has more stable power being fed to it ;) That being said the parts your ordering can all litterally be overclocked by running software in windows, its amazing easy. Personally I see no reason why a quad would be more "future-Proof" then a tri core, by the time the gaming market starts to fully utilize multi threaded coding these processors are going to be rather weak in comparison to what will come out a year or 2 from now... Also aside from RTS games I dont see how 1 extra core is going to make much difference in a video game thats bairly using your CPU in the first place ;)

Id go with the x3 720 bundle I linked well before I shelled out the money on a PII 955, but thats just me.

As for this

Asus isnt bad, they make decent Nvidia and ATI cards, but they dont compare to XFX for customer service and warrantys, no one on the ATI side can even touch XFX for these reasons.

XFX XXX are only for nVIDIA cards

XFX XT is ATI

and XFX black edition is the ultimate for both nvidia and ati.

for motherboard with dual pcie

If you going for Crossfire set up i would only look at the 790FX as it has dual 16x slots compared to 790GX that only offers dual 8x

for 790FX i go this board Newegg.ca - ASUS M4A79T Deluxe AM3 DDR3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards

and for ram one of these cheap sets

Newegg.ca - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ - Desktop Memory

Newegg.ca - OCZ Intel Extreme Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ3X16004GK - Desktop Memory
