So my friend is desperate for a computer, and I decided I will sell him my old PSU (XClio 600w), Motherboard(BioStar 790GX), Processoer(Phenom 9950 BE), and RAM (8GB G.Skill P6500 800MHz), and case (XClio A380). With the money I get from that I am planning on buying

I think the only difference between the two is that the M4A79T is that its only AM3, and DDR3. Am I correct?

Hes already getting ddr3, 7-7-7 timings? I agree if your going AM3 with and AM3 motherboard go with an AM3 processor, the 940 is an AM2+ ;)

Wait a sec, right now the 955 is only $50 more than the 940, and the same motherboard, only the DDR3 version is a bit cheaper.
