I don't know what to even say here.. obviously the i7 and 260 would play it better.. but why the hell would anyone put 1gb of RAM in that..

That's like getting a new lambo, and putting bicycle wheels on it.

yup. but do you think with 1gb i7 gtx260 outperform 16gb x2 4400 2900xt on cryostasis maximum setting? not just fps but overall performance.

Cryostasis is such a terrible game anyways why would you want to build around it?

o.O? overall performance?

I dont understand the question? FPS is the overall performance of a game, there is nothing else but FPS, if you mean overall performance outside of gaming then the i7 still wins, 16gb of ram isnt going to do jack unless your loading HUGE files. My E8400 with a GTX 260 can handle cryostasis at max settings on my 20" monitor but I can honestly say its one of the only games I never finished, not because it was hard, but because it was litterally one of the worst put together games I have played to date. Graphics are decent, game play is garbage, story line is bunk.

As for your poll, i chose the i7, its going to be much faster in game and outside of game except when it comes to zone loading, the GTX 260 STOMPS the 2900xt.

I take back my vote for the Core i7.

Thread fails. No one would put 16GB in an AMD X2 rig, and just 1GB in a Core i7.

sure it sound idiotic, unrealistic and stupid but accept it and not be discrimination of specs listed.

from your heart... which have better overall performance playing cryostasis at maximum setting...

1: i7 950 / 1gig ram / gtx 260

or

2: x2 4400+ / 16gig ram / 2900 xt

Dunno what your getting at but i7 all the way.

I don't think 15 gb of ram is going to counter-affect a way faster cpu/gpu.

*I voted x2 4400+ at first, cause I thought this was a joke.
