Go with 3 GTX285s. You'll only need a 1000W PSU. Case is really up to you, just make sure it has decent airflow for all those parts. I assume you're WCing the GPUs as well?

Well, if you are at the point of Using $5000 to build a new Computer. I'll make a few suggestions.

WD Black 640's in Raid 0 will basically give you a Raptor Raid array at a fraction of the price.

OCZ RAM? Hmmmm for your Caliber of Build Go with either the latest Mushkin Offering or Dominator GT RAM.
Much better quality in my opinion at least.

A 975 i7? Do you mean 965 perhaps?

If thats the case (considering Intels website is listing the 965 as their highest), get the 920 and save yourself a Small Fortune and OC the hell out of it. After all , you are listing WC'ing your Rig, Most people only do that when they are pushing their Rigs to the Limit.

My thoughts at least,

ST

On another Note, that 1500W PSU will only ever give you 1200W From the wall unless you get a Specific 20A Plug Outlet Installed in your House.
So, Opt for something more along the lines of an Enermax Revolution 1050W.

Regards,

@OP: Can you give some details regarding what exactly you want for this rig to do? Your component choices are all over the place, to put it mildly. You've got downsized HDD's, when the price difference between them and 300GB versions is pretty minimal, you're listing older GTX280's, and what I think most would consider mid-grade memory sticks. Yet you're also listing a high-powered motherboard, PSU, and processor, and THREE GPU's. We could probably give some better suggestions if you knew what your goals were.

The Cosmos S will not allow 3 dual slot GPUS to be installed. It only has 7 rear slots.

Don't quite follow that reasoning. Three dual-slot GPU's = 6 slots occupied. Or am I missing something?
