Default Hep with AMD build

Hello guys, I will soon be building my new comp, and I've decided to give AMD a shot. A dragon case needs a dragon platform wouldn't you agree?

So here's the info,
- PC will be used mainly for gaming
- Budget : around 1200$ CND
- I'll need everything except a case
- Hoping to build it around end of July
- I will be overclocking, but not at first, gonna wait for some $$$ to WC at least the CPU, so no 3rd party HSF needed
- Was looking at going with the P2 955
- Will be using Win7 RC for now
- Probably gonna go with a 4890, not sure yet, might go with GTX 275

Open to any suggestions and feedback, thx guys!

The stuff in my sig has been working well for me.For games either system puts out roughly equal fps once the cpu's are overclocked. Just toss in the vid card of choice and maybe a faster hdd and your good to go.

I've heard very good things about that board you use, and also the MSI 790FX-GD70, although I've never used MSI products in the past so I'm so so about it...

Question ... I can't seem to find 2x2GB of DDR3 at a reasonable price..... some 3x2GB packs for i7 systems are much cheaper, I don't get it...buy 3x2 and simply sell the extra one?

If you can try to go with a DFI board. You won't regret it that's for sure. They really have awesome board.

+ 1 Ogdin, Everything in you rig seem well balanced and great part especially for the board I have never saw one come back in RMA and have sale many of them. If our friend is budget he can go with a WD640 instead of 2 500 seagate and get 4gig instead of 8 ( he wont see the difference in performance anyway ) For the rest stick with the same rig if you can it's a wow I have nothing ti say about it just great rig ( that's the name of the rig ) ( maybe I should shut up a litlte bit ) Ho! you will have money to go with a great VGA like 4890 or GTX 275 with this rig ;)
