Question Locking up/down your computer

I'm building a new computer in a TJ10 case and I'd like to figure out the best way to luck it up/down for a "just incase" scenario.

I'd like to find a good thick cable that can't be hacked through with a saw or bolt cutters (at least easily).
All of the cables I've looked at seem thin and only a mild deterrent.

I do have a decent Kryptonite cable for my bike, it's about 10mm thick.

I'll place the cable through the front/center of the case (there's already a hole), and attach it through my metal desk.
This is the best idea I have so far when combined with a good U-Lock.

So, anyone have any better ideas??
Also I want to lock my monitors, I figure I'll bolt the stands to the desk... ?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Thank you for your assistance, however I already know about Lowjack. Personally I use IPSneak.

I'll be both locking my computer as well as using IPSneak.

Edit: I found a good bullet lock to use with my cable, I'm still looking for a place to get it at a good price: XPL46
It has an alarm if you try to tamper with it.
I still think a U-Lock like these are better:
New York Fahgettaboudit® U-lock (Best I've found)
New York Lock® STD (Funny/disturbing name)
New York Lock® LS (Another good one)

Yeah, I only mention it dude to what it offers.....which is basically MORE than bolting your pc to the floor......go ahead and bolt your case...doesn't stop 'em from stripping out the insides...

The cable will be tight enough around the case that you will not be able to move it aside and take off the sides panel.
The only way they'll get the computer, or inside the case is either cutting through the cable or destroying the case.
Both of which would take a lot more time than a grab and run, especially when there are a lot of other things around that are much easier to take and get out...

Seems like a pretty good deterrent to me! Deterrent being the key word, as that is all any security device can ever offer.
Either way, if they want it, they will get it. At that point I'll be tracking them...

Any other ideas are most welcome.

Why not bolt it down to the floor or desk (or whatever is convenient) like a safe. You can drill a couple of holes on the bottom of the case and use M8 bolts to secure to floor.

Just Wire a Grenade on the inside with the pin out, but spoon on.
That tends to deter everything. Including sneezing nearby.
lol!

I'm curious as to where this computer is being located that it needs such extreme security...

Maybe you should just consider one of those rack cabinets used for servers that have a locking door.

Vancouver. Ahhhhhh... smell that clean B.C. air in your nostrils, full of fresh gun powder from the morning's gang shootings. Not another place in the world like it. Mmmm, mmmm, it's good!
