Default Old Mobo Tray fitting question

So I have an old mobo tray in an old case that I'm modding.

Seems there is no need for stand offs for the mobo to sit on...but I don't want to just screw the mobo directly on the metal .... what can I do?

The standoffs are pre-punched so it's designed for you to screw the motherboard directly to the tray.

Won't the motherboard making direct contact with the tray be an issue?

Look at the back of the board you'll see around the holes small metal bumps.

This is to protect the board but only if you don't over tighten the board.

You were going to put metal standoffs in a metal tray, there's no reason not to screw it directly to the tray as long as no components directly touch the tray.
