Default WaterCooling an i7 920 and some other ?'s

I just seen my shadow, so it's time to come out of my den and ask for help.

I already own a Thermochill PA120.3 Radiator, MCP655 Water Pump,
D-TEK Customs Fuzion CPU Water Block with PRO-MOUNT and an
EVGA GTX285 Hydro Copper Waterblock.

Will the above hardware cool a Core I7 920 D0 overclocked to 3800mhz to 4000mhz and also cool a BFG 280 Video card OC. to 655/1450/1200mhz.??

I have heard some good things about the
i7 920 DO Cpu , Asus P6T Deluxe V2. Mobo and Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D 6GB DDR3 3X2GB Ram. Is this a good combination?

Is this a good bang for the Canuck Buck?

Thanks
Logger

Welcome to the forum- Those are great components and a good choices - thta thermochill should do the job just fine although as you know, there are no guarantees for overclocking.

What you've got looks alright to me. The Corsair RAM is good, and the heatsinks work quite nicely, but a lot of similarly-speced sticks have been going for less lately.

If you've got the original Fuzion waterblock, make sure the block is making full contact with the CPU. I recall a thread where the bolts attaching the i7 mounting kit didn't sit 100% flush with the block, causing them to hit the CPU. So just double-check on that.

Thanks MpG I will definitely double check on how the two surfaces mate.

You were spot on MpG, about the bolt heads protruding. I am going to grind down those tiny heads with my dremel. I need about 1/8 of an inch to get them to seat flush with the cpu. Should charge up my camera.

If its to replace the system in your tag.. not sure if its worth it. At the very least wait for the fall motherboards..

futures, I couldn't wait. My daughter (35 years old not married hint hint wink) was looking at my little bag of money and making rude suggestions, something about a new pair of something. NCIX gladly helped me out.
