Says the product isnt available, but those work good too, the one im talking about is this...

NCIX.com - Buy Swiftech MCRES-MICRO REV2 Clear HI-FLOW Water Cooling Reservoir 3/8IN & 1/2IN Barb Fittings - MCRES-Micro Rev2 In Canada.

You should give a browse through the Buy and sell adds in the HWC forums, alot of people sell slightly used WC gear for really cheap there. But as far as I know those Micro rezs work great and you can mount them almost anywhere.

First off i think ill stick to the 1 TB for now a upgrade later. If i deside i want an SSD in the future, then i can get it and no money goes to waste.

what is the best :

GTX 295
GTX 275 SLI
GTX 280 SLI
GTX 285 SLI
4890 Crossfire

I found the 285 on newegg.ca for 350$ after rebate

Newegg.ca - EVGA 01G-P3-1180-AR GeForce GTX 285 1GB 512-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

I added it to my list with sli and it still doesn't break 3000$

GTX 285 is the best you can get in SLI, deffinetly out performs the rest of the listed video card setups =)

The GTX 275 performs very close to the GTX 285 and out performs the GTX 280 in a lot of things for $100 less then the GTX 285s, thats $200 less as an SLI set up, saves you enough for a pretty sweet sound card or something ;)

Thinking long term in terms of upgrading, how does tri sli 285 compare to dual sli 295?

Long term wise, you just won't know. Driver updates can drastically change the performance of quad SLI, but then it doesn't really even make sense to buy a card now, so that you can get another to SLI later. It'll just end up costing you more in the long run.

Just get the best performance/price ratio card(s) you can get right now.

Dual GTX 285s are the best you can get for the money right now, price vs performance though the GTX 275s are at the top, for under $600 you get more performance then the GTX 295, a 3rd GTX 275 would be a monster, already 2 GTX 275s on an i7 will play any game you can think of with maxed out settings and get atleast 60fps, even crysis will get awesome frame rates. GTX 295s are highly over rated and under powered, they couldnt just strap 2 GTX 285s together because of the heat that would produce so its 2 275s..

IMHO get 2 GTX 275s now, run them for a month and see what you think, if you honestly think you need more power then that then add a 3rd, I personally dont think anyone needs that much horsepower these days, and by the time you do it will be cheaper to go with the newest cards out at that time, aka the 3xx series when it releases possibly in the fall.

Quad Sli 295 = Rocket
2 x 285 SLI = Fastest Jet
2 x 280 SLI = Very Fast Jet
2 x 275 SLI = Fast Jet
2 x 260 (Core 216) = Quick Jet

Tri Sli 285 / 280 / 275 . Core 216 any of the above.... = "hold on"

Pretty much sums it up....

I have a question regarding liquid cooling. I was wondering why you would ever run low on coolant in the system. Isn't it supposed to be a closed curcuit? Where would thins liquid go? Whats the point of a resevoir?

slow leakage through porous tubing. its not the only reason you need to change your coolant though, you should recycle your system once or twice a year normally I believe as well to clean out sediment and what not. If you didnt run your system with a reserve amount of water then you could run the risk of running low on water and either not cooling your system or burning out your pump due to running it dry ect. Besides that its pretty well impossible for you to continuously bleed your system of air as you fill it, youd never be able to run a clossed system yourself as there would still be air trapped inside taking up room that water should be filling. If that makes any sense, Im no w/c expert and its now 3:30 am.
