I have seen a few deals at TD lately that make me want to forget about how much I hate them, they had some really good prices on the Q6700 there for a while... Normally their prices are just rediculous and they always carry the weirdest parts.

Select your components in regards to being able to upgrade in the future: a single GPU for the time being, and a PSU than can handle SLI/Crossfire.

The P5Q is a very good Crossfire board, and 4890HD would make a nice combo.
The XFX 750i is a solid board, great support from XFX if there are issues. The GTX260 216 is a great card, and scales well in SLI.

To support all this, definitely choose the TX750W. It will power either setups easily. I know mine does.

As for a case, I saw the 590 and 690 side-by-side. I chose the 590, hands-down. Here's the 590, being my Folding rig in signature, with dual GTX275s.

Due to circumstances, the 590 is for sale, see The Spring Sale. It's one week old.

Welcome to the Forums.

Good Day ALL!!! Just checking in since yesterday with work and going home to 3yr old and 6 mth all not much time on my hands. Again many thnks for the feedback some new votes of approvals and reassurance from all involed. ST that board does look sweet good reviews and great for 2nd gtx260 if i decide to add one for sli mode. Martin thanks for input the 275 would be nice but i would just keep pushing away from planned budget. RS i'll take heed to more fans and from feedback CM690 looks like the case for me. Kruzn4evr thanks also for vote of confidence. As i said before great to be here for advice and felling good about my choices now. Go back to ncix with all my prices, rebates price matches and try to crunch figures before May is out.
Question the rebates are product related is that correct --- what i mean is if i price match at NCIX not including rebate of course can i use the discovered rebate lets say from Direct Canada,Newegg and such. That product specific correct.

The Key to buying from TD is to avoid Any salesperson period.
Do it online and forget about it.
I have no choice but to deal with them from time to time.
So as such, I keep an eye out on deals.

I think OBNO, that board would suit all your needs just fine.

Regards,
ST

Hey ST looked at that board and was seeing if any on NCIX (not being carried) so i came upon this:
EVGA nForce 750I SLI Ftw LGA775 ATX DDR2 2PCI-E16 1PCI-E1 2PCI SATA RAID Sound GBLAN Motherboard for $201 so i price matched for $159 and have a $30 rebate for a total of $129 this is at NCIX (this board is okay?) if so my build stands at this:

EVGA nForce 750I SLI Ftw LGA775 ATX DDR2 2PCI-E16 1PCI-E1 2PCI SATA RAID Sound GBLAN Motherboard Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Dual Core Processor LGA775 3.0GHZ Wolfdale 1333FSB 6MB
G.SKILL F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK PC2-8500 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-1066 CL5-5-5-15 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit
Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB 7200RPM 32MB
EVGA E-GEFORCE GTX 260 Core 216 SC 55NM 626MHZ 896MB 2.1GHZ
Corsair TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply
Coolermaster CM 690 Mid Tower Black ATX Case
LG GH22NS30 Black DVD+RW

$12257.57 with price match $968.00 + $40.00 shipping = $1008.00 ( and $50.00 of rebates) for:
Grand Total $958.00

Oh Yeah, EVGA is great, and getting a FTW MB like that will be just as good as the XFX one I linked.

Good choice,

ST
