BUdget Gaming Build, need opinions

Hello Everyone, my name is Issam and im new here. I would really appreciate your opinion on this pc that I'm planning to build for under 1300 (LCD included). Please note that this is my first time building a PC.

Now, to mee this setup seems pretty solid, the only thing I can think of that could maybe save me money is if I could get a case with a PSU that comes with it that can power this build, but I highly doubt it as well a cheaper but effective CPU cooler. Oh and I plan to buy all this from Tigerdirect.ca, is that a cheap site compared to the other ones that ship to Canada?Thank you for your time.

why get a SLI board when you buying an ATI card?

Get the 512mb 4870. It's 50 dollars cheaper and you don't need the 1GB memory for a 19 inch screen.

OEM hard drive, pay attention to this , it may be imposible to RMA those one to WDC. ask to make sure it's not a surplus from a company like Dell, compaq, hp etc. those are the one you will have no RMA.

Oh, when purchasing the monitor they list different contrast ratios, is the higher the ratio, the better it is? I plan on getting ASUS VH196T 19IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 1440X900 5ms 5000:1 VGA DVI W/ Speaker from direct canada because it has the highest ratio, if it's not good could someone recommend a cheap 19 inch monitor from direct canada, thanx in advance.

Thats pretty much exactly what it is, although this number is always inflated and they almost never post their actual ratio, normally its the dynamic one or whatever... pretty well most stats on a monitor these days are marketing. just get something that has the features you want in a size your looking for.

Budget?
use of the machine?
If gaming what games will you be playing?
Do you have any preference for ati vs. nvidia amd vs. intel etc?
will you be overclocking?

We can provide input on the system you chose but not knowing how it will be used is only giving us half the picture.
